Florida judgments are potentially valid for 20 years if renewed. If the judgment holder fails to renew the judgment it will last 10 years. As these are public records they will be reported on credit histories for the life of the judgment plus seven years -- that is, potentially 27 years of credit blemish.
Judgments attach to Florida real property when a certified copy of the judgment is recorded in the county official records. Attachment to personal property is all over the place depending on the type of loan and asset; contact your attorney for specifics.
